Open house for a free high school program designed to create STEM opportunities for students with disabilities. They prepare students through various experiences, such as field trips, college-readiness workshops, internships, and advocacy.

Open house for a free high school program designed to create STEM opportunities for students with disabilities. They prepare students through various experiences, such as field trips, college-readiness workshops, internships, and advocacy.

This training is for practitioners (1.5 CE) and for families with children living with disabilities. It explores typical paths to post-secondary transitions and offers data-informed strategies to enhance success. Through a family-centered lens, participants will examine how to leverage natural supports, use planning tools, and apply a practical framework for defining and achieving success.

This event, hosted by the Exceptional Children’s Assistance Center, is a 30-minute segment featuring Advocates for Medically Fragile Kids NC. This organization is a volunteer-run 501c3 that believes that every child in North Carolina who has a medically fragile condition – whatever their background or circumstances – should have the opportunity to live their best
