Work Together NC’s Continuing Education Course: Supporting the Transition to Adulthood and Beyond
What is this resource?
Work Together NC’s continuing education course equips professionals across North Carolina with resources and best practices to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) through the transition to adulthood and beyond. Research on family experiences shows that once students leave high school, access to services and resources drops off sharply. There is an urgent need for professionals who are equipped to help families navigate complex adult service systems, with the goal of supporting individuals with I/DD in achieving community integration and a high quality of life.
