DHHS Innovations Supports Budget Evaluation Town Hall

The Human Services Research Institute (HSRI), along with the North Carolina Medicaid, Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is evaluating the Innovations Supports Budgets and will be hosting two town hall meetings on February 13, 2024, to hear from people receiving Innovations Waiver services and their families about their experiences with the current budget model.

The Human Services Research Institute (HSRI) is supporting North Carolina Medicaid, Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) to evaluate the Innovations Support Budget Model. Since 2016, each person receiving Innovations Waiver services, participates in a Supports Intensity Scale® assessment, receives notice of their budget, and can use the budget when planning for services. DHHS wants to evaluate this model to decide whether any changes will be needed to better support people using services.
