CIDD Community Talk Webinar Series – Designing Accessible Digital Visualizations for People with IDD

This presentation draws on the UNC Visualab’s six-year investigation examining ways visualizations could be most accessible for individuals with IDD. Wu and Szafir will highlight best practices for designing accessible visualizations based on studies of graphical perception, everyday data experiences, and participatory design. The talk will also address the challenges and opportunities for people with IDD in engaging with data and offer actionable strategies to improve their data access and empowerment.
