Barriers to Creating I/DD Housing: Technical Workshop

This workshop will open with a panel comprised of parents/groups trying to create innovative housing for adults with an intellectual disability (I/DD). Each will describe their overall efforts and focus on the pain points–the barriers to progress, scalability, sustainability.

The second half of the workshop will be a moderated discussion with top officials responding to the questions raised and suggesting next steps to resolve the issues.

Panelists include representatives from the Midtown Housing Coalition, Peacehaven Community Farm, HOPE NC, L’Arche, local governments/legislators, and many more. This event is hosted by the Alliance Consumer and Family Advisory Committee.
