Families preparing for early childhood transitions – from one educational setting to another – can be experiencing any number of emotions from excitement to uncertainty. During this session, we will discuss the different parts of the transition process as well as how to prepare for these.

Join HOPE NC’s self-advocate Deja for a 1-on-1 discussion with another self-advocate, Kenneth Kealty, who has autism. Together they will discuss their independent living journey. This will be an inclusive conversation where everyone is encouraged to participate. 

We are planning a trip to visit our friends at Peacehaven Farms in Whitsett, NC. We plan to bring our lunches and have a picnic there with them. After we eat, we will enjoy some improv games, activities, and get a tour of the farm. Join us!!

Let’s welcome in fall with a picnic and time with friends outside in the (hopefully) cooler weather. We will meet in Raleigh this month near to the site of our new HOPE NC housing integration project at Grosvenor Gardens. Bring a side dish or dessert to share and HOPE NC will provide the sandwiches.
