The LME-MCO Alliance Health can help you access Flex Funds. Flex Funds are intended to supplement informal/volunteer resources and to improve a person’s quality of life and inclusion in the community. These funds should be requested to assist with an individual’s social drivers of health as it relates to engagement and self-management.

Intense student support program for students with executive function challenges. As-U-R offers accountability, community, drop-in and appointment based support, seminars, study materials, learning assistance, and weekly mentor meetings

The Scholars with Diverse Abilities Program (SDAP) is a transition-focused program for students with intellectual disabilities with the purpose of increasing their self-determination. SDAP begins as a 2-year program with an option for an additional 2 years depending on a student’s personal goals and skill level. SDAP students benefit from an all-encompassing collegiate experience, and are an integral part of the campus community. They engage and develop skills through essential activities such as Attending courses with other university students. Taking part in sporting events and clubs with other university students. Participating in wide range of university programs and services. The Scholars with Diverse Abilities Program is a non-degree program in which students audit college courses.

Autism After 18 creates opportunities for young adults with autism to interact in the community on a social, professional, and educational level.

Through the Interagency Program, Brunswick Community college offers courses that focus on contextualized learning, money management, technology, advocacy, career pathways, exploration, and independence. Supported Employment/Job Coaching: Students that are ready for employment are offered a variety of opportunities that include on-campus transition crews and independent job placements in the community. All supported employment services are provided through a partnership with the North Carolina Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services (DVRS), local employers, and BIP’s job coaches. On-campus employment transition crews include food preparation, yard maintenance, custodial work, and cable box/cord restoration.

CVCC's ABE Academy lasts for 3 years, but the community college itself also offers additional certificate classes for interested students.

An education and consultation firm that works with people with disabilities. They provide educational programs, consultation services, and subject matter expertise services.

CCCC's culinary arts program in particular is reputable for supporting individuals with ID/DD. This program provides hands-on training necessary to obtain an entry-level culinary position. CCCC offers a variety of certificate and diploma pathways and has robust career and technical education offerings (CTE courses)

Offers courses with instruction in work readiness, reading, writing, math and technology. This program is meant for individuals with diverse abilities who need continued support in order to take steps toward meaningful employment.

The Adult Basic Education and Transitional Opportunities Program at College of the Albemarle’s (COA) College and Career Readiness program offers courses to help those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities enhance their educational and life skills. The courses provide a classroom experience in a college setting. Computers and course materials are used to enhance the following subject areas: Reading Math Other life skills Qualifying students have the opportunity to transition into the workforce.
