Services/Programs Description

Offers a range of strengths based programs supporting young adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities toward a self-determined life. Programs include HEELS UP, an inclusive post-secondary education program at UNC-Chapel Hill offered during summer session II and HEELS Prep, a skill-building summer program focused on key areas of the transition to adulthood.

Eligibility

HEELS Prep:
-18-26 years old
-Documentation indicating an intellectual disability
-Interested in setting goals and building skills for the transition to adulthood

HEELS UP:
-18-26 years old
-Documentation indicating an intellectual disability
-Seeking a well-rounded college experience with certificate of completion

Cost

HEELS Prep program fee: $800. Financial aid may be available.

HEELS UP students pay regular tuition and fees.
