Join us for a powerful day of learning, connection, and empowerment designed specifically for NC high school students with disabilities and their parents or caregivers. As youth prepare to transition from school to adulthood, this event offers essential tools, resources, and information to support a successful journey into post-secondary life. Meals and materials provided! Participants will attend both large group and separate parent/youth breakout sessions. Everyone will also have the opportunity to visit with a variety of disability related exhibitors. This event will empower attendees to better prepare for life after high school.
Good Good Good is a community-powered music collective organized by Jewish for Good that brings together adults with and without disabilities to make music. We will focus on movement, percussion and vocal music games and activities that help us learn to make music together. All levels are welcome.
If participants require specialized 1:1 support, they are expected to provide it.
Participation is FREE.
The North Carolina Council on Developmental Disabilities (NCCDD) is planning its priorities for the next five years — and your voice matters! Share your input at one of our Public Input sessions. Sessions will be held throughout North Carolina and online from July through September.
This session will be held virtually via ZoomGov.
All physical abilities and any skill level are welcome. These sessions are suitable for people who have limited mobility, are in a wheelchair, or who are blind or have low vision. Chairs are provided for those who want one. Bring water and dress comfortably to be outside.
Ages 16 and up. This event occurs on the first Thursday evening of the month in spring and fall and is taught by Tish Oakley of Earth Monkey Energies.

This reverse job fair flips the script—candidates are stationed at tables showcasing their skills and résumés, while employers circulate and engage. The event showcases highly skilled talent, including individuals with disabilities, and supports inclusive hiring practices
Enjoy a night of adventure in the Museum’s main building in a relaxed, sensory-friendly atmosphere, and learn more about the night sky and nocturnal animals from Museum facilitators! Cool-down areas, materials, and visual supports will be available during your Museum exploration. Our cool-down room is available in Aerospace, welcome for any guests who feel it would be helpful.
The Conference is for: Family Members, People with Developmental Disabilities, Professionals, and Advocates!
Topics will include:
-Medical management of children with complex health conditions
-Evidence-based behavioral therapies
-Cross-system collaboration in child welfare and mental health
Supporting youth through transitions from school to adulthood including employment and other opportunities

The Sensory Friendly Film Series provides an environment that is accessible, welcoming, and comfortable for people on the spectrum.
Lights will remain slightly up.
The sound will be turned down.
Audience members are encouraged to get up out of their seats, dance, walk, or sing.
Families can bring their own snacks from home. Concessions are also available for purchase.
A quiet space with calming activities is available for anyone who may experience overstimulation during the film screening.
