This session will explore how to approach caregiving with compassion, build life skills at home, navigate post–early intervention options, and begin planning for the future. Attendees will also learn more about the support and resources available through ABtA’s Older Learner programs.
This docent-led tour in American Sign Language is intended for adults who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing; no English is spoken. It takes place in both East and West buildings, and the theme varies each month.
The webinar panel from the Assistive Technology Act Technical Assistance and Training Center (AT3 Center) will focus on increasing access to and acquisition of AT tools across the lifespan. The panel will share examples of how AT is that critical bridge to helping break down barriers and provide innovative approaches for one to be more independent within the workplace and the broader community.

Developing relationships can be challenging, but our program will PEERS® for Young Adults is a 13-week evidence-based social skills intervention for motivated young adults between 18-38 years of age who are interested in learning skills to make and keep friends and develop relationships. This internationally acclaimed program was originally developed at UCLA by PEERS® Clinic Founding Director, Dr. Elizabeth Laugeson. During each group session, young adults are taught important social skills and are given the opportunity to practice these skills. PEERS® may be appropriate for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, or intellectual and developmental disabilities.
You’re invited to Work Together NC’s Quarterly Community Meeting! Learn about resources focused on the transition to adulthood for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including a spotlighted community partner and our Action Planning tool.

One year after the election, NOD CEO and President Beth Sirull reunites with Charles Catherine and Congressman Jim Langevin to assess the current administration and policy changes, examining their impact on the lives of people with disabilities.
Everyone is welcome to the 8th Annual Holly Springs Autism Acceptance Day and Neurodiversity Resource Fair. This is free community event held at the Holly Springs Police Department and hosted by the Brady Valcho Autism Foundation. This yearly event brings together families and neurodiverse children and adults along with community providers such as therapies, schools, camps and recreational organizations. Enjoy sensory activities, a magic show, food trucks and meet our first responders. Quiet room available.
