UNC School of Social Work Hosting Autism Summer Course (Virtual Event)
Sherry Mergner will be offering a virtual summer course called Autism and Neurodiversity-Affirming Practice this summer from the UNC School of Social Work on Wednesday afternoons from June 28-July 26. This course provides an overview of the core vulnerabilities faced by autistic and neurodivergent individuals. Selected neurodiversity-affirming evidence-based interventions will be reviewed with ASD across contexts. Disability and social justice issues faced by this population will be discussed throughout the course. This course is available to current students, as well as families, individuals with neurodiversities and service providers.
