The Registry of Unmet Needs: How to get on the Innovations Waiver waitlist, why it’s important, and what to do while you’re waiting
This presentation will use plain language to explain the Innovations Waiver’s Registry of Unmet Needs in the state of North Carolina. Participants will leave with a stronger understanding of the steps to take to be placed on the waitlist as well as what to expect in the process. Information will be shared about what is available to people with Down syndrome and other IDDs while on the Registry of Unmet Needs. Misconceptions of dealing with the Local Management Entities- Manage Care Organizations (LME-MCOs) will be addressed.
Jenna Flynn is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) specializing in IDD/ASD and mental health. She has a bachelor’s in psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and received her MSW from UNC Chapel Hill in 2011.
