Join the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center for a sensory friendly night at the planetarium.
Event Highlights:
1. **Science Stage:** Experience live science experiments with a focus on making the environment comfortable for all attendees. We have adjusted the lighting, sound levels, and seating arrangements to ensure a sensory-friendly experience.
2. **Full Dome Theatre:** Enjoy an animated show designed with sensory sensitivities in mind. We will offer a preview of the show to help participants know what to expect and allow for a comfortable viewing experience.
3. **Launch Lab:** Engage in hands-on activities where participants can build and create with various materials. The space will be organized to minimize sensory overload and provide a calm environment for exploration.
**Additional Details:**
– We will have cool down areas available for those who may need a break from the activities.
– Trained staff and volunteers will be present to assist and ensure a positive experience for everyone.
