This event is offered at no cost for parents and caregivers of children with disabilities and special health care needs in collaboration with the NC DeafBlind Project and ECAC’s Parent Training & Information Center.
Parents as Collaborative Leaders is a nationally recognized, research-based training intended to support parents to be more active and confident at the table in a variety of educational, medical, and community settings. This 2-day training is designed for parents interested in developing skills to improve educational outcomes for all children. Participants will learn about their own “leadership” style and the skills needed to work collaboratively in groups.
This training is limited to parents/family members of children with a disability, birth to age 21.
Hotel, meals, and all materials will be provided at no cost!
Participation stipends* in the amount of $150 will be provided to those who attend the entire event.
*(Limited to one stipend per family.)

This event is only for parents/caregivers whose applications have been accepted. Your application will be reviewed and considered. Only those selected will be sent a confirmation acceptance email and registration link.
